Leclerc Gobelin Tapestry Loom
< previous Leclerc loom                                                                                                      next Leclerc loom >
We're pleased to offer you the Leclerc Gobelin vertical tapestry hand weaving loom in weaving widths of 36", 45", 60" and 100".  This is a great loom for tapestry and rug weavers who are interested in a solid, non-folding loom capable of very high warp tension.  Available without a beater or shafts for warp tapestry weaving in the Parisian Gobelins School tradition using string heddles or finger manipulation.  Also available in two shaft configuration for plain weave with a beater and two treadles in 36", 45", and 60" weaving widths.

What is Included

Each loom will include a wood tapestry bobbin, one dozen plastic tapestry bobbins, cords, instructions, and copies of the books "I Weave You Weave" and "Warp and Weave" by Robert Leclerc.

Weaving Width/Shaft Options & Additional Accessories

The Gobelin tapestry and rug weaving loom without a beater or shaft is available in four weaving widths:

36" weaving width ($2,040, #5236-0000)
45" weaving width ($2,195, #5245-0000)
60" weaving width ($2,440, #5260-0000)
100" weaving width ($5,995, #5210-0000)

The Gobelin weaving loom with a two shaft frame, two treadles, 200 heddles, and a six dent per inch reed is available in three weaving widths:

36" weaving width ($3,100, #5236-9000)
45" weaving width ($3,375, #5245-9000)
60" weaving width ($4,060, #5260-9000)

Please contact us before you place your order if you would like your Gobelin loom to come with inserted eye or texsolv heddles, additional reeds, shuttles, and a bench.  Additional details are available in the Leclerc catalog (link will open in a separate window).  The stock photos on this page may depict alternative shaft and treadle configurations and accessories for illustrative purposes.

Shipping & Delivery

Your loom will be shipped directly from Leclerc to your continental U.S. (lower 48 states) address via ground service.  There is no shipping charge for physical street addresses in this area.  Turnaround is good; however, orders placed during Leclerc's summer and holiday breaks or while they (or we) are exhibiting at trade shows may take a bit longer.  If time is critical for you, kindly contact us before placing your order and request an estimated delivery date.  We are required to collect sales tax on shipments to Virginia addresses.

Assembly

Your loom will arrive partially disassembled for easier handling, with detailed assembly instructions.  If you are handy, you should have no problems assembling your loom.  Otherwise, enlist the assistance of a friend.  When in doubt, read the instructions.  If you are located in our region, we can provide hands on assistance for an hourly labor charge and travel mileage.

Warranty

Neither we nor Leclerc are able to accept returns.  Warranty service is provided by Leclerc.  Their policy is simple and straightforward:  "All Leclerc looms and accessories are guaranteed for one year, covering materials and workmanship. Parts are replaced free of charge upon proof of defect."

Please let us know how we may be of further assistance.  We appreciate your patronage of our independent, locally owned weaving and yarn shop, and thank you for referrals.
