We're pleased to offer you the Leclerc Artisat jack-type hand weaving loom with a 36" weaving width. This is a great loom for weavers of all skill levels who have limited space in their home. It folds to a compact size for convenient storage with your weaving still on the loom. While light enough for one or two people to move around the weaving studio, it is also a solid weaving loom. The Artisat was our first loom. We like the Artisat so much that we use them in our weaving school.
What is Included
Each Artisat loom will include two more treadles than it has shafts, one steel reed (12 dents/inch unless you specify 6, 8, or 10 dent with your order), 10 1/2" wire heddles, one 11 3/4" boat shuttle, one dozen plastic bobbins, one reed and heddle hook, two lease sticks, two warp rods, two beam sticks, two cords, assembly instructions, video and a copy of the book "Warp and Weave" by Robert Leclerc.
The 36" weaving width Artisat is available in three configurations:
4 Shaft in 36" weaving width ($1,950, #1009-0000)
8 Shaft in 36" weaving width ($2,505, #1009-0008)
8 Shaft in 36" weaving width with back hinge treadles for greater leverage ($3,143, #1009-3628)
Please contact us before you place your order if you would like your Artisat loom to come with inserted eye or texsolv heddles, additional reeds, shuttles, sectional warping, double warp beams, and a bench. Additional details are available in the Leclerc catalog (link will open in a separate window). The stock photos on this page may depict alternative shaft and treadle configurations and accessories for illustrative purposes.
Shipping & Delivery
Your loom will be shipped directly from Leclerc to your continental U.S. (lower 48 states) address via ground service. There is no shipping charge for physical street addresses in this area. Turnaround is good; however, orders placed during Leclerc's summer and holiday breaks or while they (or we) are exhibiting at trade shows may take a bit longer. If time is critical for you, kindly contact us before placing your order and request an estimated delivery date. We are required to collect sales tax on shipments to Virginia addresses.
Your loom will arrive partially disassembled for easier handling, with detailed assembly instructions. If you are handy, you should have no problems assembling your loom. Otherwise, enlist the assistance of a friend. When in doubt, read the instructions. If you are located in our region, we can provide hands on assistance for an hourly labor charge and travel mileage.
Neither we nor Leclerc are able to accept returns. Warranty service is provided by Leclerc. Their policy is simple and straightforward: "All Leclerc looms and accessories are guaranteed for one year, covering materials and workmanship. Parts are replaced free of charge upon proof of defect."
Please let us know how we may be of further assistance. We appreciate your patronage of our independent, locally owned weaving and yarn shop, and thank you for referrals.
