We have the traditional yarn and fiber dyeing materials and undyed fibers and yarn bases you'll need to hand dye your own yarns, fleeces, and fibers in our White Stone, Virginia dyeing supply shop.

Traditional Dyestuffs

We offer traditional indigo for dyeing, as well as other natural dye materials such as alkanet, annatto seed, eucalyptus, madder root, black walnut, and more.

Undyed Yarn Bases & Fibers

Some of the undyed yarn bases we carry for hand-dyeing include alpaca, cotton, linen, rayon, cashmere, silk, wool, and chenille.  Spinning and felting fibers suitable for hand-dyeing available in our shop include Alpaca, Blue Faced Leicester, Corriedale, Cashmere, Merino, and Silk.

Dyeing Instruction

Becky McCoy offers dyeing instruction at our White Stone yarn shop.  Some of the yarns she has hand-dyed with cochineal, indigo, and chamomile are shown below.  These yarns and more are available for purchase in our shop.
