There's plenty of free off-street parking for customers in our private lot. We're located at ground level, so there are no steps or stairs to climb.
Our customers travel from throughout the mid-Atlantic area and further to purchase yarn and fiber arts supplies and enjoy classes with renowned instructors. We offer one of the largest selections of yarn in the region, and a knitting and weaving school in our 3,000 square foot bricks & mortar location.
We host fiber arts guild meetings and field trips. Recently, groups from Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Williamsburg have organized special trips to visit us. Contact us to reserve a classroom for your group to meet in while you visit our shop. There's great takeout available across the street. Catering is available by advance arrangement.
We're located in the White Stone/Irvington/Kilmarnock area of Lancaster County, a Chesapeake Bay-oriented destination resort and leisure community with exceptional shopping, dining, lodging, spa, vineyard, golf, and sporting amenities for you to enjoy while visiting us.
We're closer than you might think. Gloucester Courthouse is about 30 minutes away. Once you've arrived, The Triangle Trolley does an hourly loop through White Stone, Irvington, and Kilmarnock on Fridays and Saturdays and holidays from late May through early October. The Trolley travels right by the Dirt Woman Fiber Arts shop in White Stone. The Trolley also stops at Historic Christ Church, the Steamboat Era Museum, The Dog & Oyster Vineyard, gift shops, antique shops, exquisite art galleries, ice cream shops, coffee shops, marinas, lodgings, and a wonderful selection of restaurants.
